Greg: Hey. What's up?

DigiQ8: nm

DigiQ8: So we in the HL2net steam channel are wondering, when you guys gonna unlock TF2? What time exactly?

Greg: Late in the day. We're not saying an exact time, unfortunately.

DigiQ8: So no 12AM release?

Greg: No - late in the day.

Quake Wars demo... not that great

Just spent the last few hours playing the Quake Wars demo, and can say that I'm thoroughly un-impressed!

I've been hooked on the Call of Duty 4 beta for the 360 recently, it's just a nice experience, but after playing QW:ET for a couple of hours I really can't stand it.

The weapons feel like they have no punch, you get little feedback from where you are getting hit/killed from (I'm so used to the CoD kill cam now), and the objectives (for the attackers) just seem like a slow inevitable plod forwards.

Maybe it's that everything seems so flat and lifeless in QW:ET compared to CoD4, but I just can't love this game.

Maybe over a LAN with a few mates in the future I can get to grips with it, but now? and online? no chance.

Just finished BioShock

I've just finished BioShock on the first play through, and it was awsome, expect a review soon!

Would you kindly read it after I write it? :)

Upcoming game previews

In an effort to write more in house content for GTR I came up with this idea.... Upcoming game profiles.

It's pretty obvious from the title what it is, but here's the break down of what you should expect:

  • Release dates
When's it out? you'll need to know when to buy it!
  • Platforms
    What's it for? 360, PS3, PC... etc...
  • Developer
Who created it? The creative minds behind the game in question.
  • Publisher
Who pumped a load of cash into it? That's right, which of the evil publishers put cash in, so they can take a load out!

Next you'll get a breakdown of all the cool things the game has to offer (or has promised), along with some reasons why it might be best avoided

Following that you'll get a rating out of 5:

  • 5 - Pre-order the special edition
  • 4 - Must buy
  • 3 - Must Rent
  • 2 - Wait for the reviews
  • 1 - Wait for the bargin bin copy

Pretty self explanatory? I hope so! I'll be throwing the first one up shortly.
