Digg!

Quake Wars demo... not that great

Just spent the last few hours playing the Quake Wars demo, and can say that I'm thoroughly un-impressed!

I've been hooked on the Call of Duty 4 beta for the 360 recently, it's just a nice experience, but after playing QW:ET for a couple of hours I really can't stand it.

The weapons feel like they have no punch, you get little feedback from where you are getting hit/killed from (I'm so used to the CoD kill cam now), and the objectives (for the attackers) just seem like a slow inevitable plod forwards.

Maybe it's that everything seems so flat and lifeless in QW:ET compared to CoD4, but I just can't love this game.

Maybe over a LAN with a few mates in the future I can get to grips with it, but now? and online? no chance.
