John Woo has been pretty quiet since Mission Impossible 2 came out (we'll ignore Paycheck), but it looks like he's been working on something else, the semi-sequel to one of his best films (Hard Boiled) in a computer game format, Stranglehold. In what looks like a Max Payne rip off, you have to kill everything that moves in the most stylish way possible.... read more
I'm really looking forward to Guitar Hero 3, the recently announced titles all sound fantastic, in particular I'm looking forward to rocking out as much as I can to: "3's and 7's" – Queens of the Stone Age "Cherub Rock" – Smashing Pumpkins "Even Flow" – Pearl Jam "Knights of... read more
I've been keeping my eye on this one for a while, but unfortunetally details have been far and few between. All we know is that it's to be an 'epic' fantasy game. The previous tech demo videos released were amazing in showing of what will be possible in the game, but gave no real idea of how it would play. This latest video is different, it gives us... read more
In a freudian slip one of Rockstar's sales rep (Hosi Simon) let slip that if you want the complete GTA4 experience, you'll have to get ir for the Xbox 360 instead of the PS3: "They're identical games. We're not hardware makers, and we're not like a pawn between these companies, we try not to be as much as we can. We make great games for people... read more
Now I'm pretty sick of WW2 first person shooters, as far as I was concerned COD2 was boring, since I had been there and done it before, numerous times before. So when I came to this in the latest Brothers in Arms series I wasn't expecting much... I was given nice surprise. I was amazed by the way the NPCs were reacting, and the effects when you... read more
After the rather mediocre sequel to Burnout 3, Burnout Revenge, we weren't expecting much from the next title in the series. But after reading some reports, and watching some videos this game seem to be a true next gen sequel to the series. With an open ended city to drive around, and seamless multiplayer action this title could be one the best racers... read more
When it comes to Lucas Arts I'm a bit of a fan boy. Basically I was addicted to the point and click games (Monkey Island, Full Throttle, The Dig, etc...) they created, so naturally I'm always interested in what they are doing. With recent rumblings that they'll be doing more in house stuff (like Force Unleashed) the new game they are working on Fracture... read more
Another quirky unique title that sprang up at E3 this year was Echochrome. This Sony developed game is based around moving impossible objects to be able to get from A to B, by hiding traps, or creating new walkways. While this game looks like a lot of fun, I can't see much scope in this game. If this is released at a budget price then it'll be worth... read more

It looks like we could soon be in for a good old fashioned price war, with talk of yet another PS3 price cut already spreading just days after the last one became official. What's more, this latest rumor appears to be based on more than just idle speculation, coming instead from Capcom's Capcom Chief Financial Officer Kazuhiko Abe, who told Reuters... read more

According to Reuters, Konami believes that the 100 dollar PS3 price cut that Sony is now pushing will not significantly increase sales of the console. As a result, Konami even insinuates that the latest MGS game may not be exclusive to the Sony home console. Oh boy. Although the latest title in Konami's leading action franchise Metal Gear Solid... read more

One of my most looked forward to games on the PS3 is Heavenly Sword, it's basically God of War, but with insane production values, i.e. it makes GoW look like it was drawn by a 2 year old with crayons in comparison! Anyway, A TV show manage to get a load of exclusives for this game crammed into a 30min video: Be warned, about 2/3rds of the way through... read more

Today Namco Bandai has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Beautiful Katamari has been cancelled but instead it’s heading to the Nintendo Wii and off course the Xbox 360 as well. The franchise was born on the PlayStation 2 and now it seems that the Katamari prefer the Wii platform for their new games. Namco Bandai had problems with programming... read more

According to a message board post at DVD Forum the Sunday newspaper circular for Circuit City for the week beginning July 15 shows a $100 price reduction for Sony's Playstation 3 console, which may be an indication that Sony may finally be reducing the price of their currently low selling console.
